Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University men's basketball coach Dan Dakich has announced that Erik Crawford, a 6-4 guard from Minneapolis Tartan High School and Kris Wilson, a 5-10 guard from Spring Valley High School in Huntington, W.V., each have signed a national letter of intent to attend BGSU and play basketball for the Falcons, next year.
Crawford, who led his high school to a state title as a junior, was a two-time Minneapolis Defensive Player of the Year selection. A powerful slasher who can drive the lane and finish in traffic, Crawford averaged 21 points per game this past season. His team was 27-3 this past year and he averaged 24 points in two recent Minnesota All-Star games.
Wilson, a two-time first-team All-State performer in West Virginia, was a four year starter as a prep and scored 1,739 career points. A quick player, Wilson nailed 242 three-point field goals in his career and averaged 23 points as a junior and 17.6 as a senior.
Crawford and Wilson join Cory Eyink, a 6-7 1/2 forward from Marion Local High School in Maria Stein, Ohio, and Leon Petty, a 6-4 guard from Indianapolis Cathedral HS who committed during the early signing period in November.
