Heldt Qualifies For Outdoor Track Championships

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University senior high jumper Stephanie Heldt is one of 388 student-athletes who will compete at the 2001 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Wednesday, May 30 thru Saturday, June 2 at the University of Oregon. She is ranked 10th in the country in her event and will compete Saturday, June 2.
Heldt, who was an All-American in the high jump in 1999, qualified with a mark of 5-11 1/2 which she accomplished in winning the Ohio Quad meet on May 5. She also finished first at the Drake Relays, April 28.
Heldt, who finished fourth at the MAC Championships is a graduate of Toledo Central Catholic High School.
