BGSU Men's Soccer Drops First Match of Exhibition Season, 2-0

Bowling Green - The Bowling Green State University men's soccer team kicked off its 2001 exhibition season on Friday at the Cochrane Field practice facility by hosting Wright State University. The Falcons lost the match to WSU, 2-0.

Wright State scored two goals in the first half, the first from Kevin Padgett in the 19th minute and the second off the foot of Evan Shrewsbury in the 33rd minute.

Bowling Green has two more exhibition games before it begins its 2001 regular season. The Falcons host the University of Dayton on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 5 p.m. and Oakland University on Monday, Aug. 27 at 5 p.m. Both matches are scheduled to be played at Cochrane Field.

BGSU's regular season begins Friday, Sept. 7 at Michigan State University.
