Toledo - Terry Reynolds (On the significance of rivalry)
" I hate losing to BG and I am sure they hate losing to us and hopefully when we go to our place we can even it up."
"Matela had a great game. He is a good player. Maybe next time we have a different look for him (Matela)and hopefully we can control a lot better than we did this game.
Toledo Coach Stan Joplin
"Obviously we were a little shorthanded without Nick (Moore), I just felt we turned the ball over too much, so I thought that was a big difference. They played well and you have to give them a lot of credit. Matela played big, we couldn't control him and we did not have an answer for him."
BGSU Coach Dan Dakich
"I thought it was a very hard played game between both teams. Obviously, them not having Moore hurt them a lot, he is their veteran in the backcourt. One guy out in the rotation makes a difference."
"I thought we played some guys that don't normally get minutes and I thought our guys played well."
(On Germain Fitch)
"Fitch was really good the other day in practice and at Ball State and he carried that over. When Keith went out with the four fouls he ended up playing about as well as he can play and our guys did well."
(On Josh Almanson's play)
"Josh played as Josh should play. He has not done that since the Delaware game and maybe Mississippi. I thought he played as he was capable and Josh is a very capable basketball player."
"I feel really good, it helped my confidence out a lot playing against two good teams, Ball State and Toledo. We talked about out hustling and out- scraping them in practice all week and we did that."
