TOLEDO, Ohio -
BGSU HEAD COACH CURT MILLER:
"Obviously, Toledo has a lot of weapons. We were fortunate to be in (the game in) the first half. We made a 10-3 run at the end of the half to keep it respectable, and that's kind of been the story of our season.""The word for the day is 'out.' We were outmatched, out-talented, out-hustled and out-physicaled. We were pleasantly surprised to go into halftime down five. Neither team played well, actually, it was a very ugly first half. But, Toledo missed a ton of shots that you knew they weren't going to continue to miss, and they still shot 40-plus percent in the first half."
"We talked in the lockerroom that we were lucky to be in the position that we were in, and that the first five minutes of the second half were key. I thought we did a good job on their shooters in the first half, and didn't allow them to get a lot of three-point attempts. But, they have a great balance, inside-outside, and Risinger can stand and shoot with the best of them. We wanted to make her put it on the floor. ... She's an off-the-screen shooter, and she does what she does best. She got shots in transition, off of screens, and when you're that good a shooter, and you have looks where our players aren't even in the same 419 area code, she's going to make shots."
"Obviously, Tia Davis had a big game for them, and was a big help for them to make it a blowout. It's hard to stop (Teresa) Kahle and Melantha Herron and Risinger, but when you have a fourth starter step up and have the game that Tia Davis had, we can't match that."
