After three solid weekends of competition, the Bowling Green Women's Gymnastics team will head east to face Rutgers and Southern Connecticut. The Falcons, 7-0 overall and 2-0 in the Mid-American Conference, look to remain undefeated on the season.
Head Coach Dan Connelly feels that his team is ready for this weekend's challenge. "Rutgers has a decent program. We are both on the same level. It should be a good weekend of competition."
According to the most recent GymInfo standings, BGSU was ranked 21st in the nation with an average team score of 193.567.
If the Falcons defeat both Rutgers and Southern Connecticut this weekend, the 2002 squad will tie the 1978-1979 squad which went undefeated in its first nine meets before losing to Ohio State.
The next home meet for the Falcons will be Friday, February 15 at 7 p.m. versus MAC opponent Northern Illinois.
