Falcon Duo Splits At ITA Regional

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Bowling Green State University women's tennis team has completed action in the 2002 ITA/Omni Hotels Midwest Regional Championships. The invitational is being held in East Lansing, Mich.
The doubles team of junior Lisa Maloney and sophomore Susie Schoenberger dropped its opening match, falling to the Notre Dame team of Lauren Connelly and Alicia Salas by a score of 8-5. But, the BG duo rebounded for a convincing 8-2 victory over Ohio State's Adams/Bowen team in the consolation bracket. Each team was allotted only one consolation match.
The Falcons' next action will be Nov. 8-10, when BGSU heads to Kalamazoo for the Fall MAC Invitational. That invite will complete the fall portion of the schedule for the Brown and Orange.
