McLeod Named NABC All-District

Overland Park, Kan. - Bowling Green State University senior men's basketball player Keith McLeod has been named first-team All-District by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and Pontiac. The 150 student-athletes, from 15 districts, are now eligible for the NABC/Pontiac Division I All-American Team which will be announced at the conclusion of the 2001-2002 NCAA men's basketball season.
McLeod, who leads the MAC and is sixth in the country in scoring at 23 points per game, was a first-team All-District 10 selection representing the NCAA I institutions in Ohio and Indiana. He joins an elite group of former BGSU basketball standouts to earn this coveted accolade, as the sixth Falcon to earn first-team honors. Other former BGSU honorees include Anthony Stacey (2000), Antonio Daniels (1997), Howard Komives (1964), Al Bianchi (1954), and Charles Share (1950).
Mcleod also is one of three MAC players to earn first-team All-District distinction. Ball State's Theron Smith (District 10) and Marshall's Tamar Slay (District 4) also were recognized by the NABC. Ohio's Brandon Hunter (District 10) and Kent State's Trevor Huffman (District 10) were second-team choices.
