Marny Oestreng Earns Fourth MAC Gymnast of the Week Honor For 2002.

Bowling Green gymnast Marny Oestreng was named the Mid-American Conference Gmast of the Week Monday by the MAC office. The senior led BGSU to three victories over the weeekend, two of which were over MAC opponents Northern Illinois and unbeaten Kent State.

Oestreng claimed four first-place finishes in BG's win over the Huskies on Friday, winning the vault (9.825), the floor (9.925), the bars (9.900) and the all-around (39.300). She also added two other wins in the All-Ohio meet last Sunday at Kent State versus the Golden Flashes and Ohio State. Oestreng won the vault (9.900) and the bars (9.900) en route to a second place finish in the all-around (39.250).

This is the tenth time in Oestreng's career that she has earned this conference honor.
