Softball Falcons Not Heading To Virginia

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Due to a forecast of inclement weather for the weekend, the Bowling Green State University softball team will not be making the trip to Charlottesville, Va., for this weekend's Cavalier Classic. The Falcons had been scheduled to play games vs. Appalachian State, Morehead State, Rider, Tennessee and host Virginia in the weekend tournament (March 1-3).

The weather projections for this weekend call for snow/ice mixing with, then changing to, rain in the Charlottesville area.

BGSU went 2-4 to open the season last weekend. The next scheduled action for the Falcons is the Rebel Games, set for March 11-16 in Orlando, Fla. BG is slated to play 10 games in Orlando, beginning with a March 11 game against Rider.
