FALCONS IN A TOUGH STRETCH
The Falcons are in a stretch which will see them play five games in 10 days. The Falcons visited Western Michigan (1/30), hosted Miami (2/2), traveled to Kent State and return home to face Ohio (2/6) and Marshall (2/9).
FIGHTING FOR POSITION
Midway through the conference season, 12 of the 13 teams have three league losses or more as both BGSU and Ohio battle to earn a high seed at next month's MAC Championship Tournament in Cleveland. Since the 1998-99 season, BGSU and Ohio have the league's second best winning percentage in MAC games (42-22, 65.6%).
THE FALCONS AND THE BOBCATS
Despite being in the same division, the two long-time rivals have met only once in each of the last two seasons. BGSU captured a 78-68 triumph in Athens a year ago. Two years ago, BGSU took home a 73-69 victory in Anderson Arena and have won six of the last seven meetings in Bowling Green since 1994.
WINNING SEASON
With the win against Miami, BGSU has clinched its fourth straight winning season under Dan Dakich. It also marked the fourth time this season that BSGU has rallied from a deficit with under two minutes left in the game. Senior Keith McLeod continued to strengthen his case as a MAC Player of the Year candidate, when he scored 12 points in the final 6:53 and scored the game winning or clinching points for the seventh time this season. With BGSU trailing by three points, McLeod hit back-to-back three pointers (3:58 and 2:59) and his two free throws with 1:12 gave BGSU the lead for good. He also added two free throws with three seconds remaining for good measure.
NCAA LEADERS
Senior Keith McLeod is fourth in the nation in scoring (23.9) and Brandon Pardon is 14th in the country in assists (6.4). The Falcons are 10th in the country in three-point field goal percentage (40.7) .
