Swimmers Face Two MAC Opponents This Weekend

The Bowling Green Men's Swimming and Diving Teams will travel to the University of Akron this weekend to face the Zips of UA and the Huskies of Northern Illinois. The meet will be this Friday, February 8 at 1 p.m.

Top performers for the Falcons are freshman Bobby McRae, who is currently 4th in the MAC's Top Times List for the 100 Butterfly (51:42) and 8th in the 200 Butterfly (1:56.14), and junior Ray Bartel, who is second on the list in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 58.27. Also performing well for BG are divers Josh Clugston and Ian Chertieny. The senior-freshman duo are first (365.45) and second place (363.70), respectively, on the MAC List for the Three Meter diving event.

The Falcons next meet will be the MAC Championships, which will begin Thursday, February 28 and continue through Saturday, March 2 in Athens, Ohio.
