Women's Track Wins All-Ohio Championships

The Bowling Green Women's Track team defeated fifteen other teams to win the All-Ohio Championships Saturday, February 9 at Perry Field House. The Falcons scored a team total of 98 points to win the final meet before hosting the MAC Championships.
BG was led by repeat top performers Alicia Taylor and Kerri McClung. Taylor placed first in the 60 Meter Hurdles (8.65), thrid in the 200 Meter Dash (25.55) and fourth in the 60 Meter Dash (7.70). McClung again performed well in the Shot Put placing second with a mark of 50'00 1/2. Other individuals performing well for the Falcons were sophomore Tamika Dixon, who placed third in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 58.28 and fellow sophomore Rachel Perme, who placed third in the High Jump with a mark of 5'05 3/4.
The Falcons will take a week off to rest before hosting the Mid-American Conference Championships in two weeks. The meet will be held Firday and Saturday, February 22 and 23 in Perry Field House.
