Falcons Place 10th at Pepsi Cola Invitational

Pottsboro, Texas - The Bowling Green men's golf team placed 10th out of 13 teams over the weekend at the Pepsi Cola Invitational hosted by Northern Illinois University in Pottsboro, Texas. The tournament was played at the Tanglewood Resort.
Michigan State, which placed one spot ahead of the Falcons just two weeks ago in Ocala, Fla., won the tournament with a team score of 873. The top five teams were rounded out by Minnesota (896), Illinois (896), Rollins College (897) and Penn State (904). BGSU finished the three-round tournament with a score of 927 (310, 306, 311).
BGSU finished the first two rounds in seventh place but dropped to 10th after carding the 311 on the final day. Senior Justin Gillham was the top Falcon finisher, placing tied for 23rd with a score of 228 (75, 79, 74). Following Gillham were freshman Austin Chase (T-27th, 231), junior Adam Balls (T-42nd, 235), senior Brian Gerken (T-52nd, 238) and RS-freshman Craig Pickerel (T-68th, 246).
Bowling Green returns to action in two weeks at the Marshall University Invitational in Huntington, W.V. (April 5-6).
