Two Falcons Ranked Among Best Canadian Collegians

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University's Adam Balls and Austin Chase are currently ranked among the top-15 Canadian Collegiate golfers, according to the Royal Canadian Golf Association college ratings posted this week (www.rcga.org). Chase is ranked ninth while Balls is 14th among over 200 Canadian collegiate men's golfers.
Balls is a native of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. The junior is tied for the team lead with Chase with a 74.28 average over 18 rounds. He finished tied for 15th at last year's Mid-American Conference Championship and his best finish this year came at the Detroit Invite where he tied for ninth place with a three-round score of 215. He is currently ranked 13th among all MAC golfers.
Chase hails from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and is tied with Balls with a 74.28 average in 18 rounds played. His best finish this year came at the John Piper Intercollegiate when he finished seventh with a three-round score of 220. Chase is currently 13th among MAC golfers.
The Falcons are coached by former Falcon Garry Winger. The London, Ontario, native is in his fourth season of coaching at BGSU. Bowling Green began its spring season three weeks ago with a third-place finish at the Big Red Classic in Ocala, Florida.
