Ohio State Sweeps Falcons, 7-0

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's tennis won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches to defeat Bowling Green, 7-0, at Jesse Owens West Recreation Center. The win improves No. 38-ranked Ohio State's record to 12-2 overall and 2-1 in the Big Ten, while the Falcons fell to 1-7 on the season.
Ohio State won the doubles point, as it swept all three matches. At the number-one flight, Buckeyes Monica Rincon and Meaghan Colville defeated the duo of senior Devon Bissinger and freshman Susan Schoenberger, 8-2. At No. 2, OSU beat the Falcon sophomore team of Lisa Maloney and Gaby Coello, 8-3. Claudia Castro and Lindsey Adams of OSU won at No. 3, topping sophomore Jessica Johnson and junior Alyson Gabel, 8-3.
The Buckeyes won at all six singles spots for the win. No. 54 Rincon easily defeated Maloney, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 1, and No. 48 Fisk beat Bissinger at No. 2.
Pervez, ranked 119th in the nation, downed Schoenberger at the number-three spot. Other BGSU competitors included Gabel (No. 4) and freshmen Laura Kokinda (No. 5) and Cameron Benjamin (No. 6).
The Falcons were to return to action later Saturday in a neutral-site match against Drake University.
