Men's Basketball Completes 2002-03 Schedule

Bowling Green, Ohio - A rugged non-conference schedule away from home and a move to the MAC's West Division highlight the 2002-03 Bowling Green State University men's basketball schedule.
The Falcons will open the campaign at Detroit Mercy, a team which advanced to the NIT last season, Saturday, November 23. Following the home opener November 30 against Tiffin, BGSU will jump right into MAC play with a home contest against Buffalo, December 4.
BGSU will visit Northwestern, 16-13 a year ago, on December 7, Michigan on December 11, and will play in the Coors Classic (December 14) in Mobile, Alabama against an Alabama team which was ranked as high as #8 a year ago.
The Falcons will conclude finals week with home tests against Oakland (December 19) and Urbana (December 21) before heading to Cleveland to play Cleveland State in the Rock and Roll Shootout on December 28 in Gund Arena.
BGSU will have its first MAC West showdown January 4 and return home to face defending division title winner Ball State, January 7. BGSU concludes the regular season March 8 at home against Toledo. BGSU also will play in the inagural ESPN Bracket Buster, February 22.
In MAC play, BGSU will have home-and-home games with Northern Illinois, Ball State, Kent State, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan and Toledo. The Falcons will face Buffalo, Akron and Miami only at Anderson Arena and will only play road games at Central Michigan, Ohio and Marshall.
