Harris Leads Falcons Past Eastern Michigan, 33-20

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Josh Harris had 283 total yards and three rushing touchdowns as Bowling Green beat Eastern Michigan 33-20 Saturday.
P.J. Pope also ran for 122 yards on 22 carries for the Falcons (6-1, 3-0 Mid-American), who had 492 yards of total offense.
Bowling Green jumped out to a 26-14 lead at halftime on the strength of a 1-yard touchdown by Pope, two touchdown runs by Harris and two field goals by Shaun Suisham.
Eastern cut its deficit to 26-17 with 2:15 left in the third quarter on a 40-yard field goal by Andrew Wellock. But Harris answered with a 5-yard run for his third rushing touchdown of the game to give Bowling Green a 33-17 lead with 12:59 left in the game.
Harris finished with 96 yards rushing on 12 carries and completed 17 of 25 passes for 187 yards.
The Eagles (1-7, 0-4) had 314 yards of total offense and scored 20 points against a Bowling Green team that entered the game first in the Mid-American Conference in points allowed at 15 points per game.
Anthony Sherrell led the Eagles with a career-high 187 yards rushing on 33 carries against the conference's second-best run defense. Bowling Green entered the game allowing just 118.5 yards a game on the ground.
