McLeod Back With Timberwolves

Minneapolis, Minn. - Minnesota Timberwolves Vice President of Basketball Operations/General Manager Kevin McHale Saturday announced the team has signed free agent guard Keith McLeod. The roster now stands at 13 players. McLeod, who was waived by the Wolves on Oct. 21, averaged 6.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 16.3 minutes per game in six preseason contests with Minnesota this fall. The 6-2, 188-pound McLeod played for Livorno in the Italian A-League last season.
McLeod averaged 17.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.59 steals per game in 111 contests over his four-year collegiate career at Bowling Green University (1998-99 through 2001-02). The 6-2, 188-pound McLeod was named Honorable Mention All-America by the Associated Press and Mid-American Conference Player of the Year as a senior. McLeod finished second at Bowling Green and 13th in the MAC in career scoring with 1,895 points. He ranked first in school history in free throws made (522) and three-point field goals made (199). In 2001-02, he ranked eight nationally in scoring (22.9 ppg) and was named MAC Player of the Week on three occasions.
