BGSU to Host MAC Men's Soccer Tournament

Bowling Green State University will be the host for the 2003 Mid-American Conference Men's Soccer quarterfinals and semifinals this Friday (Nov. 7) and Sunday (Nov. 9) at Mickey Cochrane Field.
No. 1 seed and regular-season champion Kentucky will have a bye until the semifinals where they will take on the winner of No. 4 seed Bowling Green vs. No. 5 seed Northern Illinois. Other matchups for Friday include No. 6 seed Marshall vs. No. 3 seed Western Michigan, and No. 7 seed Buffalo vs. No. 2 seed Akron.
The start times for Friday's quarterfinal games will be 10:30 a.m. (Marshall vs. WMU), 12:45 p.m. (Buffalo vs. Akron), and 3 p.m. (BGSU vs. NIU). Start times for Sunday's semifinal games are 12:45 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Cost of admission is $6 for adults, $4 for children 12-and-under, $4 for university students with valid ID, or $10 for all five games.
Former BGSU men's soccer coach Mickey Cochrane will serve as the honorary tournament commissioner.
The MAC Championship game will be played at the highest remaining seed next weekend, Nov. 16 or 17, at a time to be determined.
