Bowling Green, Ohio - The National Hockey League's Central Scouting Service listed Bowling Green State University freshman defenseman Jonathan Sigalet among 40 U.S. college players on its Preliminary Ranking for the 2004 NHL Entry Draft released on Nov. 25.
Sigalet (6-0, 172) is tied for the team lead among rookies with six points and is second on the team with five assists in 15 games this season. Last year the Surrey, British Columbia, native was named the British Columbia Hockey League's Defenseman of the Year and to the BCHL All-Rookie Team.
Sigalet is not draft eligible until the 2005 NHL draft.
There were 14 total Central Collegiate Hockey Association players listed by the Central Scouting Service. His brother and teammate, Jordan, is a 2001 NHL Draft pick of the Boston Bruins (7th round).
