Track Has Impressive Showing At Ohio State Invitational

Columbus, Ohio - Several members of the Bowling Green State University track and field team had impressive showing at the Ohio State Invitational. The meet was held at French Field House Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons were led by sophomore Melissa Krueger (Versailles, OH), who finished the 1000-meter run with a time of 3:01.57, capturing first place in the event.
Sophomore Amber Walker (Detroit, MI) placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.87 seconds. Walker also posted a fifth place finish in the 400-meter dash.
Senior Amy Henry (Newport News, VA) and junior Alicia Taylor (Cleveland Hts., OH) posted season-bests in the 60-meter hurdles. Henry finished fifth with a time of 8.69 seconds, and Taylor finished eighth with a time of 8.81 seconds.
Junior Rachel Perme (Rocky River, OH) placed fourth in the high jump by posting a height of 1.62 meters.
Senior Nicole Carter (Nicholasville, KY) finished the long jump in eighth place with a jump of 5.22 meters.
Junior Kerri McClung (Portland, IN) posted a mark of 14.61 meters in the shot put, finishing in sixth place in the event.
Up next the Falcons will host the BGSU Women's Open. The event is set for February 8 at noon.
