"We tried to spread the floor and get a screen at the midcourt line, to try to break Lindsay (Austin) free and then play off the defense. If they helped off the shooters, we'd kick (the ball out) for a shot at the buzzer. If they stayed at home, we hoped that a pick would free Lindsay and allow her to create in the lane."
"I was proud of our kids to get a shot off. A lot of times in that situation, teams panic and don't even get a shot off. We got a shot off, and it might not have been the greatest, but it gave us a chance to win."
"Go-to players stepped up for both teams down the stretch. It was a great college atmosphere, and a great game to watch. Kim Griech, a veteran senior, hits a big 'three' to tie it. You go back down the floor, and Francine Miller puts you ahead by two. That's your two go-to players right there. And then, in kind of a broken play, they can't get the ball to (Jennifer) Youngblood in their set play. But, their go-to players find ways to make plays, and Jennifer Youngblood got the big offensive rebound and putback to win the game. That's what your go-to players do, and that just signifies such a great college game; watching both teams' best players make plays down the stretch."

They only rebounded us by three, but still, they doubled us on second-chance points, and you lose sleep about the big offensive rebound and putback. "I think Francine Miller just had a great game. She struggled against us the first time, and she's too smart and too talented a player not to come back at us and take care of business. ... She was hitting 3's initially, and then she would fake and drive. She's really a quality player."

"We talked about working the ball inside. Joi (Scott) did a tremendous job inside, and that takes the pressure off a lot of us."
