Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green starting pitcher Kyle Knoblauch was named Mid-American Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week after throwing five shutout innings vs. #26-ranked Tennessee on Sunday, Feb. 23. The right-hander earned no decision in the 8-2 Falcon loss.
Knoblauch, a 6-foot-8 junior, allowed just three hits by the Vols while striking out one and walking none in BGSU's 2003 season opener. The Blissfield, Mich., native was 7-1 last season and was a All-MAC second team selection. He was the East Division Pitcher of the Week once last season.
