BGSU Men's Golf 14th After Day One of Big Red Classic

Ocala, Fla. - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team kicked off its spring schedule on Saturday, March 8, with first-round action of the Big Red Classic, hosted by Indiana University and Ball State University. The 18-team tournament is being held at Lake Diamond Country Club in Ocala, Fla.
BGSU is 14th after the first day of competition with a team score of 598. The Falcons carded a 302 in the first round and then a 296 in the second round on Saturday.
Individually, freshman Chris Leake is leading the Falcons with a score of 149 through two rounds (79, 70), good enough for T-41st place. Other Falcons include Craig Pickerel (151, T-52nd), Austin Chase (T-72nd, 153), Bud Ziglar (T-78th, 154), Eric Lauderbach (T-85th, 155) and Andy Miller (T-97th, 159).
Kent State leads the tournament after day one with a two-round score of 561. The tournament concludes on Sunday with one round of 18.
