Kassouf Places 12th At Regionals

Tuscaloosa, Alabama - Senior co-captain Ann Marie Kassouf placed 12th at the NCAA Central Regionals held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama Saturday evening with a total score of 38.775 in the all-around. Julia Gore of Kentucky won the event with a total score of 39.125.

Kassouf began the day on the beam, where she posted a 9.725. Following a bye, she moved over to floor where she scored a 9.750. She then scored a 9.700 on vault and ended her meet with a 9.575 on bars.

This season Kassouf owns six of the top seven all-around performances for the Falcons. Her top performances came on March 29 at the 2003 MAC Championships when she posted an all-around score of 39.100 and on February 23 versus Ball State with a score of 39.050.

Kassouf needed to finish in the top two to move onto nationals, which are held in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 24-26.
