Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University football coach Gregg Brandon has announced that junior linebacker Jovon Burkes, senior quarterback Josh Harris, senior linebacker Mitch Hewitt and senior tight end Craig Jarrett will serve as team captains for the 2003 season.
The players were selected in a vote by their teammates.
"I think these young men are great leaders and are very deserving of this honor," said Brandon. "I believe that by naming our captains at this time it establishes these guys as leaders whose responsibility is to keep their teammates focused this off-season on one goal and that is to be the top program in the MAC."
