BGSU Hires Assistant Swimming Coach and Diving Coach

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University announced today the hiring of Chris Taylor as assistant swimming coach and Jane Wobser as diving coach. The two join head coach Keri Buff, who begins her second season as head of the Falcons.
"Both have been at the highest level of NCAA Division I as both competitors and coaches," said Buff. "They'll be a tremendous asset to the program."
Taylor comes to BGSU after serving the past two years as an undergraduate/graduate assistant at Arizona State University. He was the assistant recruiting coordinator as well as assisting in workouts and other duties. Taylor also served as a coach at the Sun Devil Swim School from 1998 through 2003.
The Shaker Heights, Ohio, native swam at ASU from 1999-2002, competing in the 100 and 200 breast, and 200 IM. While an undergraduate, Taylor earned the top "Sun Devil" award, which is given to the individual who best exemplifies the qualities of an ASU student-athlete. Taylor earned a degree in history from ASU in 2002.
Wobser comes to BGSU after serving as an assistant swimming and diving coach at the University of Findlay for the past two years. While there she worked with the men's and women's squads in training, recruiting, and other duties.
Prior to Findlay, Wobser was owner of and head diving coach at Nashville Diving in Nashville, Tenn. Wobser attended the University of Tennessee from 1983-88 and became the first Lady Vol diver to qualify for the NCAA National Meet and to earn All-America honors in 1984. In fact, Wobser ended her career as a four-time All-American while in Knoxville. She earned a degree in retail merchandising.
