Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green senior captain Adam Balls set a new single-round record in the annual Falcon Fall Qualifier last Saturday, Aug. 30, by carding a 64 at Forrest Creason Golf Course. Balls was one stroke off the Forrest Creason course record of 63 set by Brett Fulford in 1992.
Balls' 18-hole score of 64 broke junior Craig Pickerel's previous record of 66, set last season. Balls finished 12-under par with a 72-hole score of 276. That score was one off of the 72-hole Fall Qualifier record set last season by Pickerel (275).
Last weekend's event marked the 29th year for the Falcon Fall Qualifier. The men's team kicks off the 2003 Fall season in two weeks with the 3rd Annual John Piper Intercollegiate (Sept. 14-16) at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio.
