Gymnastics Set For First Road Trip

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - After opening the 2004 season with a win over Eastern Michigan, the Bowling Green State University gymnastics squad travels to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to face off with Southeast Missouri State on Friday night inside the Houck Field House. The meet is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
BGSU (1-0, 1-0 MAC) is coming off a 193.450-192.975 victory over the Eagles of Eastern Michigan last Wednesday night. The Falcons were led by Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week Melissa Popovich who posted a 39.925 in the all-around, as well as scoring a 9.875 on floor and 9.850 on bars. She captured first place in all three events.
The Southeast Missouri State (1-0) gymnastics team opened their 2004 season last Saturday afternoon, as they earned first place at the Hamline Quadrangular Meet with a team score of 185.075.
