ANN ARBOR, Mich. - A pair of Bowling Green State University tennis players went 2-0 apiece in singles action on Friday (Oct. 1), as the Falcons opened play in the Wolverine Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich. Both senior Cameron Benjamin and junior Andrea Meister won a pair of matches on the first day of the three-day weekend invite.

Meister and Benjamin each went 2-0 in the Wolverine Flight, advancing to the semifinals.
At the Blue Flight, senior Susie Schoenberger took her opponent to a third-set, 10-point tiebreaker, while sophomore Ashley Jakupcin dropped her match as both sets required a tiebreaker.
In the Maize Flight, both junior Heidi Romer and freshman Andrea Volle opened with losses, but rebounded with victories in the back draw.
In the Wolverine Flight, senior Laura Kokinda won her first match in a walkover, before losing her first contest of the year. Freshman Jenna Nussbaum dropped her opening match before winning her next tilt in a walkover.
Sophomore Erica Wolfe lost her first match in the Victors Flight.
In doubles, both the Schoenberger/Romer and Benjamin/Jakupcin teams started with victories before suffering second-round losses.
