Junior Charles Sharon had his fifth career 100-yard receiving effort (143 yards), and his second of the season. He also established a career-high in receptions in a game with 10. Sharon has two touchdown receptions (12 yards and 24 yards) and is now tied for third all-time at BGSU with 21 TD receptions (Stan Hunter, 1982-85). With his 128 yards rushing, junior P.J. Pope became just the 10th player in Falcon history to eclipse the 2,000-yard rushing barrier and now has a career total of 2109 yards on the ground. It marked the sixth time and second instance this season that he has reached the century mark in rushing yards.
Senior Shaun Suisham connected on a 21-yard field goal and a 23-yarder and now has made 41 of 59 field goals in his career to move into fourth place on the BGSU all-time list. He also had two touchbacks and now has 19 this season.
Junior Mitchell Crossley had his first career fumble recovery and returned it 30 yards for a TD. It was the Falcons' fourth non-offensive TD of the season, and first fumble return for a score since the 2002 season when Mitch Hewitt recovered a fumble in the end zone against Kansas. Crossley also forced a key fumble in the fourth quarter. It was his fourth career forced fumble. He finished with seven tackles and 3.5 TFLs.
Five different players led the team with seven tackles including Crossley, junior Jelani Jordan, freshman Deaudre Perry, senior Daniel Sayles, and junior Teddy Piepkow.
In addition to Crossley's two sacks, Sayles and senior Jovon Burkes also had a QB sack.
BGSU held an opponent under 100 yards rushing for the fourth time in five games, and the Falcons have won 14 games in a row when they hold a team under 100 yards rushing. BGSU allowed 45 yards on 27 carries.
With 501 yards of total offense, BGSU improved to 15-0 since 2001 when topping the 500-yard barrier in a game.
