Saturday's MAC TV Game of the Week will be shown live by FSN-Ohio, Comcast Sports Net Chicago, Empire Sports Network in upstate New York and Comcast Local in Michigan.
The Falcons have clinched their fourth straight winning season, a feat that was last accomplished at BGSU from 1991-1994. BGSU is rated 29th in this week's ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll and also received votes in the AP Poll.
The Falcons hold a 30-14-3 lead in the series with the Broncos and have won the last two meetings.
BGSU defeated WMU, 32-21, in Kalamazoo last season and, 48-45, in OT in the Broncos' last visit to Doyt Perry Stadium in 2002.
Sophomore quarterback Omar Jacobs, who is in his first year as the Falcons' starting signal caller, is currently the national leader in TD passes (23), second in points responsible for (20.52) and total offense (344.5), fourth in completions per game (25.8), and seventh in passing efficiency (163.1). He also has the fewest interceptions in the nation for a player with 300 pass attempts or more with two and has been sacked just three times in 301 passing attempts.
The Falcons are the top team in the MAC converting on 51.0 % on third down.
BGSU leads the MAC averaging 41.4 points per game and is second in the league in scoring defense allowing just 20.4 points per game.
BGSU, Virginia, and Texas A&M have committed the fewest turnovers in the nation with four. BGSU leads the MAC in turnover margin at +1 per game.
BGSU has won 13 straight games at home against MAC West foes. BGSU last loss to a MAC West opponent at home in 1997 against Toledo.
With junior Mitchell Crossley's pickoff of a backwards pass and subsequent 30-yard TD return, BGSU has now scored 28 non-offensive points this season. For his efforts, he was named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week. He finished with 10 tackles and 3 sacks against the Eagles.
