DePaul now leads the series 10-8 and has a 7-2 record against the Falcons in Chicago.
With 11 steals, BGSU already topped its season-high for last year in that category when they had 10 at home against Northern Illinois. Senior Cory Eyink led the Falcons with three and junior Steven Wright and Perrick Robinson each had two apiece.
The Falcons, who led the MAC in free throw shooting last year, made all seven of their charity tosses against the Blue Demons.
Senior Josh Almanson had 17 points and seven rebounds. He also attempted a career-high 16 shots.
Junior Steven Wright had a career-high 17 points and also had a career-best seven field goals made. He also added three boards, two assists and two steals. His three triple's made also tied a career-high.
Senior John Reimold finished with 11 points and two assists. He now has 858 career points with the Falcons.
Senior Cory Eyink had 10 points, three rebounds, and three steals. He also made two of five treys.
Junior Germain Fitch came off the bench to provide four points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Newcomers
Four players saw their first action with the Falcons and all made contributions.
Freshman Perrick Robinson got his first collegiate start in his hometown and had three rebounds, four assists and two steals in 17 minutes of action.
Sophomore John Floyd played 11 minutes and had three assists, a steal and a rebounds.
Freshman Scott Vandermeer had a blocked shot in six minutes of playing time.
Junior Mawel Soler had two rebounds in six minutes
