Falcon Football Signs Junior College Tight End

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University football coach Gregg Brandon has announced the signing of junior college tight end Rubin Ruiz to a national letter of intent to enroll at BGSU in January and play for the Falcons next season.

Ruiz, 6-4, 240, played at Arizona Western College where he was an honorable mention All-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference selection as a sophomore. He also was an NJCAA All-Academic selection during his stay in Yuma.

He is a graduate of Pueblo High School in Tucson.

"Rubin is an outstanding athlete who is a great blocker who also has the ability to move down the field and provide us with another offensive weapon," said Brandon.
