Jacobs Earn All-American Honors

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University sophomore quarterback Omar Jacobs was named honorable mention All-American by CNNSI.com. He is just the third BGSU quarterback to receive the national distinction joining Mark Miller (1977) and Josh Harris (2003).
Jacobs set a school-record with a national-leading 36 TD passes and also is the NCAA IA leader in points responsible for (21.8). He is second nationally in total offense (357.1), passing yards (3,637), third in passing efficiency (167.8) and fourth in completions per game (25.3). He also has thrown just three interceptions in 418 attempts and has been sacked only eight times.
For the season, Jacobs has completed 283 of 418 passes for 3,637 yards and has rushed for 291 yards and four TDs.
He also needs a passing or rushing TD in the GMAC Bowl to set a new MAC record for TDs responsible for with 41. The record of 40 is currently shared by Chad Pennington, Ben Roethlisberger, Josh Harris and Jacobs.
