With a 6-6 MAC record, the Falcons are tied with Ball State for the fifth spot if the MAC Tournament were to begin today. With six league games remaining, the Falcons will play three MAC games on the road (Kent State, Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan) and three at home (Toledo, Ball State and Western Michigan).
The Falcons have now won eight of their last nine meetings with the Bobcats in Anderson Arena. BGSU also has won five of the last six contests overall with Ohio since 2000.
Four of the Falcons' five MAC home wins have come by 10 points or more. BGSU also has scored 80 points or more in all four of those double-digit victories.
BGSU is 8-2 at home this season and have clinched their 18th straight winning season in Anderson Arena. BGSU is 63-13 (82.9) at home since the start of the 1998-99 season.
The Falcons had 11 offensive rebounds in the first half.
Eight players had two or more rebounds and nine of the 10 players who saw action tonight scored.
BGSU is now 10-1 over the last two years when it scores 80 points or more.
Sophomore Ron Lewis led the Falcons with 18 points and a season-high nine rebounds.
Junior John Reimold had 16 points, five assists and two steals. He also managed six rebounds. Defensively, Reimold held the MAC's top three-point field goal shooter Jaivon Harris (3.1 made per game) to an 0 for 7 effort from long distance.
Sophomore Steven Wright matched his career-high with 13 points and also added five assists and two steals.
Junior Cory Eyink had a season-high 11 points and made his first start since January 7 at Ball State. He also had six rebounds and made two three-pointers in a game for the 12th time in his career.
Junior Josh Almanson had seven points and five rebounds in 17 minutes of action.
The Falcons will make their third national television appearance in three years when it plays at Kent State on Saturday at 4 p.m. The game will be shown on ESPN2.
