Senior Kevin Netter played his final regular season home game with the Falcons and led BGSU with 19 points and moved past Dave Esterkamp into 27th place on the BGSU all-time scoring list with 1,084 points.
Freshman Austin Montgomery had 11 points and made a season-high seven of eight free throws. It was his first double figure scoring effort since netting 18 at Michigan, December 13.
Freshman Steven Wright had nine points, six rebounds and six asists. He has had six rebounds or more in five straight games.
Junior Josh Almanson made just the 12th start of his career. He had six points, five boards and three assists.
The Falcons made a season-low one three pointer in the game.
BGSU can clinch a first round MAC home game next Monday March 8 if any of the following happens.
1. Ball State defeats Eastern Michigan on Wednesday night in Muncie.
2. BGSU defeats Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti on Saturday.
3. The winner of Wednesday's Akron and Marshall game loses on Saturday. Marshall is at Miami and Akron hosts Buffalo.
