Falcon Men's Golf Finishes 12th at Marshall Invitational

Huntington, W.V. - The Bowling Green men's golf team finished 12th out of 14 teams on Saturday at the Marshall Invitational, hosted in Huntington, W.V. The Falcons turned in a team score of 905 (306-293-306) and were led by senior Adam Balls who finished tied for 38th with a three-round score of 223 (72-71-80).
Balls was tied for ninth place after day one of competition.
Ohio State claimed the team title with a stellar performance in the final round. OSU set the new tournament final round record with a 278 (65-69-71-73), beating their old record of 279 set in 1998. Xavier finished second with a team total of 856 (281-291-284), and the Thundering Herd finished in third with an 863 (284-291-288).
OSU's Kevin Hall, who carded a final-round 65 and a 54-hole total of 206, won the individual medal.
Other Falcon finishers included Heath Ziglar (T-40th, 224), Craig Pickerel (T-64th, 231), Adam Cordes (T-64th, 231), and Tommy Lopez (74th, 236).
BGSU returns to action next week when it travels to the Norm Bullock Collegiate Classic (April 18-19) in Dayton, Ohio.
