Men's Golf Fourth After Day One Of MAC Championships

Westerville, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team shot a first-round score of 297 on day one of the 2004 Mid-American Conference Championships, being played at the Medallion Club in Westerville, Ohio. The Falcons trail only Kent State (290), Toledo (290) and Ohio (295) heading into day two.
Junior Craig Pickerel turned in the team's best score on day one with a round of 71, followed closely by senior Adam Balls with a 72. Sophomore Dan McIntyre shot a 76 while sophomore Adam Cordes registered a 78. The five-count-four format did not count sophomore Heath Ziglar's score of 82.
Day two of the MAC Championships will take place Friday, May 7, with an 8 a.m. start. The teams will play 36 holes on Friday, followed by the final 18 holes of the tournament played on Saturday, May 8.
