ROCHESTER, Michigan - The BGSU Men's Soccer team traveled to Rochester, Michigan tonight to take on the Golden Grizzlies of Oakland. Despite the tremendous effort by goalkeeper Tyler Dollins, Bowling Green fell to Oakland, 2-0.
The Falcons were able to stop Oakland for most of the first half until Nick Nelson found the goal from 10 yards out to take the 1-0 lead and kept it for the rest of the first half.
The second half was evenly matched until Oakland sealed the win with a goal by Dave Stoffel at the 81:58 mark.
Falcon's goalkeeper Tyler Dollins recorded a career high 11 saves but this was not enough to stop the Grizzlies as they advanced to 6-1-1 with the 2-0 win over the Falcons.
The next match for the Falcons will be on Sunday (Oct. 3) as they continue conference play by hosting Akron at 2 p.m.
