Falcons Head to Wilson ITA Midwest Region Championships

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University tennis team heads to East Lansing, Mich., for the Wilson/ITA Midwest Region Championships this week. The tournament, hosted by Michigan State University, runs from Oct. 20-25 at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility.
The 28-team tournament begins Thursday morning (Oct. 20) at 9:00 a.m., with qualifying draws. Seniors Andrea Meister and Heidi Romer and sophomore Jenna Nussbaum are part of that qualifying draw, where players will compete for spots in the singles main draw.
Junior Ashley Jakupcin has been placed in the main draw. Singles main draw play will begin Saturday (Oct. 22).
Two BGSU tandems will participate in the doubles main draw, which commences Friday (Oct. 21) at 2:00 p.m. Senior co-captains Meister and Romer will comprise one doubles team, while Nussbaum and Ashley Jakupcin will form the Falcons' other duo in East Lansing.

The Wilson/ITA Midwest Region Championships will mark the final action on BGSU's fall schedule.
