Men's Basketball Adds Two Signees

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University men's basketball coach Dan Dakich has announced the signing of Marc Larsen, a 6-9 forward from Mattawan, Michigan and Ryan Sims, a 6-1 guard from Fort Wayne, Indiana, to national letter's of intent to attend BGSU and play basketball for the Falcons next season.
Larsen, who will graduate from Mattawan High School later this spring, was an All-Michigan Class A selection who also earned first-team All-Conference honors as a junior. He averaged 15.4 points and 7.3 rebounds. He led his team to a 17-5 record last season.
Sims, who will graduate from Snider High School this year, was a Junior Indiana All Star and first-team All-State pick after averaging 17 points, four assists and four rebounds. He led his squad to a 23-3 record and was named one of the top 150 recruits in the country by Prep Spotlite magazine.

"Marc is a kid who has his best basketball ahead of him. He is 6-9 and since committing to BGSU has gained 15 pounds. I like his athletic ability and he can jump, block shots and is a fearless player. He is a well-rounded, straight A student who is extremely driven to be successful."

"Ryan is as athletic and fast as any guard there is. Those attributes, plus when you combine his intelligence as a coach's son, make him an outstanding prospect. He comes from one of the best basketball programs in the state of Indiana and we are looking forward to having him at BGSU."
