Despite the loss, the Falcons are not eliminated from contention for the MAC Championship game ... BGSU needs either a Western Michigan win at Northern Illinois Wednesday (Nov. 23), or a Kent State win over Akron on Thanksgiving morning (Nov. 24) for the Falcons to get the East Division's berth in the league championship game ... the MAC Championship is set for Thursday, Dec. 1, at Ford Field in downtown Detroit.
The Falcons took the opening drive and went 89 yards, a season-long
effort for a scoring drive ... redshirt junior Omar Jacobs scored his first rushing TD of the season on a one-yard plunge ... on the drive, Jacobs was 4-of-4 for 51 yards through the air.
On the Rockets' first possession, BGSU blocked its first punt of the
season ... senior Ted Piepkow was credited with the block, the first of his career.
After the Rockets scored 10 unanswered points, the Falcons drove 56
yards in their first possession of the second half ... senior B.J. Lane
took the direct snap and went one-yard in the end zone ... it was his

score at 24-24, then grabbed a 25-yarder in the first overtime ... Sander now has 14 receiving TDs this season and 24 in his career ... that is the fourth highest career total in Falcon history and his 14 receiving scores are the second most in BGSU single-season annals (Sharon, 15, 2004).
Junior Devon Parks had his fourth sack of the season and the 13th of
his career.
Senior Charles Sharon became the first player in school history to
post back-to-back 1,000+yard receiving yard seasons ... he had 1,070
last year ... he also had more than 100 yards receiving for the fifth
time this season and school-record 12th time in his career.
Sharon also caught an 11-yard TD pass from Jacobs ... it was his sixth TD catch of the season and 34th of his career, a school-record.

The Falcons are now 2-2 all-time in overtime games, including a 1-2 record at Perry Stadium ... BGSU lost a 1996 game to Western Michigan (16-13, Nov. 9, 1996), before winning the final contest of the season at UCF three years later (33-30, Nov. 20, 1999) ... most recently, BG won an OT game over WMU three years ago (48-45, Oct. 19, 2002).
