Head Coach Dan Dakich
"I thought the game obviously was decided at the start of the second half. I felt like they came out and really got comfortable playing against us, and just beat us. They absolutely beat us.
"As I told the team, there are going to be a lot of days like this if we don't continue to work at it and get better. It is just a tough night. I thought Oakland played great. I thought they hung in in the first half when we got up nine, they never lost their confidence, they stayed with what they were doing and they played really well. My hat's off to Greg (Kampe) and their team. They came in and beat us."
"I just felt like towards the end of the first half, they got a little more comfortable against us. In the second half, I think that showed, I think it really showed."
"We're not good enough athletically yet, or experienced yet to just beat people."
Did you feel that the kids came out of halftime somewhat unfocused?
"No, I think a lot of times when you have a really young team, they don't understand that it's a forty minute game and it's going to be a tough game and you're going to have to compete for all forty, and if you let up, the next thing you know you're down 18, or whatever it was."
"I felt that at halftime, we were kind of a dead team, for whatever the reason. I don't think tired. We were playing against a zone, it wasn't like we were running a lot of offense. But I don't know really what it was. We just did not have a drive. And, when we don't have that, we get beat. I think we tried. I think we try hard, but there is just a notch at this point that our team has to be cranked up to to be good."
Oakland Head Coach Greg Kampe
"I don't want to make too much of this game. Both teams are very similar, they're very young teams. That's our first road game ever. We played two neutral court games and two home games, we've got all freshman and sophomores playing and a couple of juniors. We have two players that aren't with us that are going to be eligible on December 19th, he's got players that he doesn't have that are going to be eligible and probably his best player is hurt. Basically, what this was was a November game with two team trying to find out a lot about themselves."
