FALCONS TO PARTICIPATE IN COORS CLASSIC FOR SECOND TIME
The BGSU men's basketball team will participate in the Coors Classic in Mobile, Alabama for the second time in four seasons when it battles Florida State in the event's second game on Saturday night. Host South Alabama will face nationally ranked Houston in the first game of the event on Saturday.
For coming to Mobile this year, South Alabama will come to BGSU for a non-conference game next season. In its last visit to Mobile, the Falcons put a scare into an Alabama team which would be ranked #1 a week later, before falling 72-63.
FALCONS AND THE ACC The Falcons will be looking to go 2-0 against the ACC this year after having posted a 72-71 win at Virginia Tech at the NABC Classic in Blacksburg. In that game against the Hokies, BGSU led for most of the game before winning on a tip-in at the buzzer by a Virginia Tech player.
FALCONS ON THE ROAD
Saturday's game with Florida State will be the third of four straight games away from home in December. The Falcons played at Bradley (Dec. 3) and at Arkansas-Little Rock (Dec. 10) and will play at Troy (Dec. 19 in Troy). BGSU returns home to play Notre Dame (Ohio) on December 29.
