"Well, I thought the game was another heck of a game here at Anderson Arena. Of all the teams that we've played that have come in here, other than the first half Toledo played here, that's the best we've faced in here. Even when we got up, we never had control and getting up sometimes is almost bad. Simply because when guys relax, and the other team is quicker than you and playing well...we made our run and got it to 13. I think that when you relax, it is very difficult to get it back and we were very, very fortunate to win. We tried to screw it up, we burned our timeouts, we didn't run an offense I felt like the entire night but I think Ball State's quickness had a lot to do with that. Were just obviously very, very happy to get a win."
"We knew it was a tough game. We haven't been within ten points of these guys in the last three times we've played them and like I said, we're just happy to get out of here with a win this time."
'I don't know why, but I felt like we were going to hold them, I don't know why. Against Akron, I felt like they were going to score. At the timeout we just reinforced the things that we had talked about. Don't let them get to the middle, don't let (Terrance) Chapman catch the ball in the post, move him off the post... I can't remember the shot that they got. It was (Peyton) Stovall driving it I believe and they're athletic so they went to the glass and...we got lucky. He (Anthony Kent) makes those free throws and we've got to score. He missed them, they still get the rebound..."
"I didn't really see what all happened but I will guarantee you that it was an unbelievable effort by them and by us and we just happened to get a ball bounce our way."
"I think that both of these teams really compete hard. I don't think we out-competed them at the end, I don't think they out- competed us. I think whether we knocked the ball out of Chapman's hands or however it happened, we got a bounce at the end and it turned out to be the game-winner."
"My seniors did a heck of a job. My two guys, Reimold and Almanson I thought did a heck of a job hitting shots at the end of the shot clock. I thought Reimold really came to play as he does every night. We didn't get any scoring out of our guards but Austin (Montgomery) came in and did a really great job in the first half."
on John Reimold...
"I am not going to say because I don't know all of the players, I'm not going to say he's the toughest guy in college basketball, but there is nobody tougher. I really believe that. I don't believe there is anyone tougher and here is what I mean by that. He digs out balls, he dives on things, when he gets into a crowd he rips the ball, I mean he is just one tough guy. And I am really happy that to this point, hes had a good senior year because I don't know of anybody other than Josh that deserves to have a good senior year. Now, there are kids but I don't know them, I just know these two kids and I've never coached a kid in my life that is tougher than John. And wants to win more than John and will do whatever it takes to win. It is no surprise that he makes a play, however it gets made. Whether he fouls, whether he doesn't foul, whatever it is he's involved in there."
"I think John Reimold, to tell you the truth, is a pro. I think he is an NBA guy if somebody gives him a chance. I've just seen enough pros and enough guys in practice to know what he is capable of doing and he's just really tough, really, really tough."
in the closing seconds...
"We knew we didn't have any timeouts and Steven Wright made a great play, just a great play throwing the ball off of Chapman's leg. That was really heads up. He didn't have a great night scoring but a play like that...it was a great play, really heads up and it won the game for us."
