The Game
Central Michigan rallied from a 10-point second half deficit and upset the Falcons, 71-66, on BGSU's Senior Day.
The Chippewas took control early scoring the game's first seven points. The Falcons rallied and led by as many as five in the first half and went into the locker room with a 32-29 lead.
BGSU upped the lead to 47-37 with 11:52 left in the game after back-to-back three pointers by senior John Reimold and senior Cory Eyink. CMU came right back and cut the lead to 47-43 on back-to-back treys by Robert Sevalia.
The Falcons led 53-46 on two free throws by Josh Almanson with 7:36 left in the game and led until Kevin Nelson drained a three-pointer with 2:03 left in the game as CMU took the lead for good at 2:03 left.
The Falcons cut the lead to 67-66 on a triple by Reimold with 54 seconds left but Nelson hit a jumper in the lane to up the lead to three and junior Steven Wright missed a game-tying three-pointer with eight seconds left in the game.
