McClung's Shot Put Title Places Falcons In Eighth at MAC Championships

ATHENS, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University track and field team climbed five spots on day two of the 2005 Outdoor Mid-American Conference Championships in Athens, Ohio, and now sit in eighth place after two days of events. The highlight of the afternoon was Kerri McClung's shot put title throw of 51-07.
McClung's mark of 51-07 was a mere half-inch farther then Kent State's Breann Smith.
McClung was not the only Falcon to shine on day two in Athens. Freshman Jamie Roflow finished fourth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:57.25, the third fastest time in school history.
The final Falcon to record a point was sophomore Andrean Bunko. She placed eighth in the javelin with a mark of 134-09.
The final day of competition starts Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.
