BGSU Coach Gregg Brandon
"Brady Hoke did a heck of a job. For his program being down like they are with the suspensions, they caused us to come in and fight for our lives. "It's a major credit to him and his program. I have all the respect for Brady and his Ball State Cardinals."
On Antonio Smith's Interception
"That probably won the game for us. It put it at a two possession difference and it forced them to throw the football and we were able to get another interception. It was a big play and it was nice to see the freshman do that."
On Charles Sharon and Steve Sanders
"Those guys are clutch guys. We had some glitches offensively and the turnovers were very uncharacteristic of us and we will address that and fix that definitely. But our kids made plays at crucial times and that was the outcome, those guys making the big play."
"He is a really sure tackler. He did a great job. Jelani is a veteran, He just quietly does his job, tackles well defends well and plays the pass well."
On the running game without P.J. Pope
We struggled at the end of the game, but B.J. Lane is a good back and Bobby Thomas came in and did a good job as a true freshman.
"We're a team with great chemistry. The defense stepped up and showed this is a true team effort. They were great."
On Charles Sharon and Steve Sanders
"These guys are seniors, they're experienced and showed they are big time players."

"I feel so great. Earlier we had some problems but I was able to bounce back and keep my composure at the end of the game."
Steve Sanders on big plays in the 4th quarter
"Everybody made plays today and it just so happened ours [Sanders and Sharon] came at the right time. We just stayed positive and did our jobs; we have one job, to catch the ball.'
On MAC play
"This was a big game for us. MAC play is always big for us. Ball State is a great team. They had some problems last week and bounced back in a big way this week.
